CELEBRATE GREAT GRAINS MINI-DOC

ION WRAY MEDIA is so honored to present to you the annual Celebrate Great Grains event and conference in Forest Grove, OR. Founder and community organizer Charlene Murdock from Food Ways At Nana Cardoon wanted to capture an inspiring and informative video with Scott Wray Media to not only promote the event and conference, but create awareness about the movement behind, Celebrate Great Grains.

The video features, farmers, environmental educators, business owners and more all coming together for this integral and regional cause. Foodways at Nana Cardoon is spearheading the group and dedicated to helping build back the regional grain economy. As one of their major initiatives, the Tuality Plains Great Grains Project, works with the community to bring back local grain.

There are so many facets to the grain industry, we sometimes forget about all the amazing products that come from grain. From bread to beer to whiskey and more, grains are an integral part of society and always have been. Even more so, the industry has deep roots in our Oregon agriculture. We can’t wait for you to check out the video and join us each year to Celebrate Great Grains.

Wheat and other grains were among the first crops to be grown in our region. In fact, Joseph Gale, the first governor of Oregon, built and operated a gristmill on Gales Creek.
